How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs

I confess. I am super late to the hard boiled egg game. I never liked eating hard boiled eggs until this past year. I finally tried one with a little salt and pepper and some Sriracha, and I was hooked. It really is the perfect little snack. But I didn’t know how to make them so I had to learn. Then I realized how excited I was for Easter this year — I was finally able to eat the eggs that we decorated.

I realize making hard boiled eggs is cooking 101, but for anyone out there who doesn’t know how to make them (like it did)… this is for you.

There are many ways and levels of making them, but this way has been working for us.

Instructions:

Fill a big pot with water high enough to submerge all the eggs. Let water come to a boil. Gently place eggs in boiling water. Set timer for 15 minutes and allow to cook. After 15 minutes carefully place eggs directly into ice water. Let them cool and store in refrigerator. Enjoy!

Also, the left over water contains protein which is also good for watering your house plants.
